Raise a Glass to Septembeerfest: Corvallis’ Signature Fall Celebration

As the leaves begin to change and the crisp air of early autumn settles into the Willamette Valley, one of Corvallis’ most beloved community events returns: Septembeerfest. Held annually at Avery Park, this lively outdoor festival is a celebration of craft beer, local music, and community spirit. This year’s Septembeerfest, Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, will feature 30 independent breweries, cideries, and craft beverage makers pouring more than 70 different drinks, from hoppy IPAs and smooth lagers to crisp ciders and creative cocktails.

Set beneath the trees at Avery Park, Septembeerfest isn’t just about drinks, it’s a full-on experience. Live music will play throughout the afternoon and evening, with performances by local bands. Bring a picnic blanket and grab a bite from one of the local food vendors, and enjoy the fun atmosphere. Septembeerfest is a family-friendly event. Guests 21 years old and under, along with designated drivers, are admitted for free, although minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. The event does not allow pets for safety reasons, but the welcoming atmosphere makes it easy for families to enjoy an afternoon out together.

This festival was first launched in 2007 by the Heart of the Valley Homebrewers, a nonprofit group based in Corvallis that promotes the process of making beer and other alcoholic beverages on a small scale and supports local charities. What began as a small gathering of beer enthusiasts has since grown into one of the region’s most popular September events, drawing hundreds of attendees each year.

What truly sets Septembeerfest apart is its commitment to supporting the community. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $295,000 for local nonprofits, including Linn-Benton Food Share, Heartland Humane Society, and Oregon State University’s Fermentation Science Program. Attending the event is not only fun, it’s also a great way to give back.
