The Water Column: Paintings of Depth, Light, and Migration
Natalie Arnoldi's work explores perception, atmosphere and humanity's emotional relationship with the oceans. An artist as well as a marine scientist, Arnoldi describes two ways of engaging with the natural world: one grounded in analytical observation and research, the other in the atmosphere, emotion and ambiguity.
The paintings in this exhibition emerged from years spent tagging animals at sea, SCUBA diving and observing the movements of marine predators that spend their lives hidden beneath the surface. Arnoldi's works will be located throughout the PRAx Arts Corridor and Mezzanine — an opportunity to move through the vertical levels that her work plumbs.
Viewing hours:

- Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
