Corvallis-OSU Piano International presents Sofya Gulyak

Corvallis-OSU Piano International will present internationally renowned pianist Sofya Gulyak. Winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition — the first woman in the history of the competition to receive this distinction — and the William Kapell International Piano Competition, Gulyak has appeared worldwide to great acclaim. Gulyak has been praised by The Washington Post for her “tremendous precision and colouration…exquisite soft playing …with delicacy”. This performance marks her second appearance on the Steinway Piano Series presented by Corvallis-OSU Piano International. Her program will include works by Bach and Chopin, and will conclude with Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, featuring a cadenza composed by Gulyak herself.
