PRAx Presents: Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band
As artistic director of the Indigenous Jazz Club series and one of the extraordinary musicians who performed at the opening concert for PRAx in Detrick Hall, Julia Keefe has introduced PRAx audiences to a sequence of boundary-pushing artists.
On this special night, she returns to the PRAx stage, bringing together her jazz ensemble of Native and Indigenous musicians from across Indian Country. From the Kennedy Center to Birdland, the Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band draws from the history of jazz to write its future.
