Sun Day Corvallis
Celebrate the sun on Sunday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Corvallis’ Central Park, being organized by Third Act Corvallis.
Sun Day is a day of action celebrating solar power and the movement to leave fossil fuels behind. Hundreds of events are planned across the country to acknowledge solar energy is now the cheapest source of power on the planet. Sun Day at Corvallis Central Park will be a family event full of live music, cooking demonstrations, daylight star gazing telescopes, a classroom for Solar Stories and art for kids, educational signage and video throughout the park. Over 23 vendors and participating partners will present information about the sun, sun power and the future of clean energy.
Event partners include the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, Abundant Solar, Seeds for the Sol, Oregon Clean Power Coop, Energy Wise Services, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis, and Pure Energy Group.
