Taxidermy Night at the Museum

Visit the museum to get an up-close look at taxidermy processes, and learn how this art form has changed over the past century. Kids can make their own fuzzy animal with craft supplies!

The evening will include special presentations by two professionals, see schedule below for details. The Corvallis Museum is free to the public and open late during the Corvallis Arts Walk.

Evening Schedule

  • 4 p.m.-8 p.m.: Museum is free and open to the public.
    • Animal pelt petting station allow kids to feel different types of animal furs
    • Make your own fuzzy animal for museum display (using craft supplies)
    • Learn the history of the Museum mascot, Bruce the Moose
  • 5:00 p.m.: Demonstration by Tom Fuller, museum conservator
  • 6:00 p.m.: Lecture by Jillian Schofield, taxidermy artist
