Stop by the OSU Astronomy & Physics Open House!
The evening kicks off with lightning talks by OSU faculty and researchers from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., along with a night of interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and live demonstrations spread across five floors of Weniger Hall - including rooftop telescope viewing after sunset (weather permitting). Participants can explore 5 floors of demos ranging from acoustic soundscapes and wave visualizations, to hovercraft rides, Van de Graaff generators, and a showcase of lasers and optics.
OSU student organizations will showcase cutting-edge projects, including a Mars Rover from DAM Robotics, virtual reality tours of space from the VR/AR Club, and radiation demos from the American Nuclear Society featuring a Geiger counter and a cloud chamber.
There will be live music by Loose Lettuce at sunset and at the end of the event. One floor of the building is reserved for quiet and calm activities, such as crafts, puzzles, and a beverage station. Rooms will be set aside for overstimulated persons to escape
