Third Annual Leticia Carson Symposium

Learn the story of Letitia Carson, one of Benton County's first Black residents (came to Oregon in 1845). In addition to short talks and conversation, there will be a dinner in honor of the historians and storytellers who brought Letitia Carson's story to light. A buffet dinner and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Before the evening event, there will be a tour of the Carson Donation Land Claim and homestead site. Transportation will be provided. This event is free, and registration is required. For more information and registration, press here.

This event is part of Historic Preservation Month. Learn more here.
