Plenty of Summer Fun in Corvallis in July!

Summer's in full swing here in Corvallis, Oregon, bringing with it baseball games, our much-anticipated Historic Homes Trolley Tours and Starker Forests Tours, concerts, tons of fun events, and plenty to see and do. July's a great month to get outdoors in Corvallis for some hiking or biking, to tour the back roads for some wine tasting, or to relax on a warm summer evening with a cold craft beer brewed right here in town. Take a look at what we've got to offer this month!

4th of July

Celebrate the 4th of July in Corvallis! Join us for the Red White and Blue Riverfront Festival - two days of live music and family friendly fun. Be sure to catch our 30th Annual All-American, Everyone Can Join 4th of July Parade, and stay late on the 4th for the Jaycees Annual Independence Day Aerial Fireworks Display.

Corvallis Knights

Come watch the Corvallis Knights play a game! The Corvallis Knights are Corvallis' West Coast League baseball team. They were the West Coast League Champions in 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2017. In 28 years of play, the team has compiled a 1,067-480 record, eight WCL West/South titles, two WCL South first-half titles, one WCL South second-half title, three Portland City League championships, three PIL South titles, a Kamloops International Baseball Tournament championship and five West Coast League crowns. Concerts in Corvallis

Join Corvallis Community Band for free concerts every Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the gazebo in Corvallis' Central Park, and mark your calendars for their special concert on July 16. You can enjoy the Hilltop Big Band's free concerts every other Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Central Park, too. We're also looking forward to Runa in concert on July 19, The Fire on July 22, and the SAGE Summer Concert featuring Ludicrous Speed and Organized Chaos on July 26.

Golf Tournaments

We've got two fun golf tournaments coming up in July! The Corvallis Chamber is hosting their 35th annual Golf Scramble on July 19, and the 2018 OSAF Golf Tournament is coming up on July 20.

Majestic Theatre

The Majestic Theatre is hosting Puppeteers for Fears to perform Cthulhu: The Musical on July 13. Tickets are $14-$16. They've also got Disney's My Son Pinocchio: Geppetto's Musical Tale, a great, family-friendly show, happening July 26-28 (tickets are $8-$12). The Majestic Readers' Theatre will present Top Girls, a tale of women's struggles with home life and careers in a man's world, on July 28 and 29. Tickets are $10-$12.

  • Downtown Corvallis Crazy Days: Sidewalk sales happening July 13-15 in downtown Corvallis.
  • Corvallis Arts Walk: Tour studios and art galleries in downtown Corvallis on July 19, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
  • Family Day at the Museum: Visit the Benton County Museum on July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for their free, 1920's-themed family day.
  • Arts Alive!: The Arts Center hosts Arts Alive! on July 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Meet working artists, try new arts and instruments, and get creative. Admission is a $10 suggested donation.

1. Historic Homes Trolley Tours

Visit us on Saturdays in July and August for the Historic Homes Trolley Tour! Join in a free guided driving tour of the gorgeous historic homes in and around downtown Corvallis, Oregon. Ride in comfortable antique style in an old-fashioned trolley as an informed guide explains the history and architecture behind the beautiful homes on the tour. 2. 2018 Starker Forest Tours
Starker Forests Tours
Free guided tours of beautiful Starker Forests are available on Wednesdays in July and August. Special, all-day tours that include the Georgia Pacific Mill, followed by the guided tour of Starker Forests in the afternoon, happen three times this season. Reservations are required. 3. Philomath Frolic & Rodeo

The Philomath Frolic & Rodeo - July 12-14 in Philomath, OR - features three days of NPRA rodeo action, the Grand Parade, a lumberjack competition, craft and food booths, the Miss Frolic & Rodeo Queen Contest, the Frolic Dance with live music and a beer garden, the Lions Club Breakfast, a Sidewalk Chalk Roundup with the Philomath Library, the Philomath Youth Activities Club Fish Rodeo, Mutton Bust'n, and a kids corner with arts and crafts.
4. 21st Annual Philomath Classic Car Show

The Philomath Classic Car Show happens July 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Philomath City Park. This event is a treat for for vintage car lovers. Enjoy great food, music, a poker walk, a variety of vendor booths and a 50/50 drawing. Admission is free.
5. da Vinci Days
da Vinci Days 2018: Invitation to Exploration
da Vinci Days, happening July 20-22 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis, is all about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), showcasing the creativity of community members, students and staff from local schools, LBCC, and OSU. Festivities include the ever-popular Graand Kinetic Challenge, the Children's Village, various exhibits by OSU and local artists and makers, food, and great local musicians throughout the afternoon. Admission is free.
6. Quilts in the Garden
Quilts in the Garden
Six beautiful gardens of Corvallis residents will be the colorful backdrop for a huge show of quilts created by the members of Marys River Quilt Guild, happening July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Some quilts displayed will be available for purchase through individual quilters. Admission is $10.
7. Art & Wine in the Garden

Garland Nursery's stunning gardens provide the perfect backdrop as you wander through beautiful arts and crafts from over 40 local artists, while enjoying great wine and live music on July 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy live music from Dennis Monroe's Funked-up Blues Band and Derek Cates, wine for purchase from Bluebird Hill Cellars, Cardwell Hill Cellars, and Le Chouette Vineyards, and food for purchase from Cheesy Stuffed Burgers and Spotlight Food Truck. Admission is free.
8. Philomath Uncorked
Wine, Wine Tasting, Oregon Wine
Visit lovely downtown Philomath for their annual wine walk, Philomath Uncorked. Downtown businesses will open their doors to act as tasting rooms for Oregon wineries from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 28. Admission is $15 and includes a souvenir wine glass, 5 tasting tickets, a map of participating businesses and wineries, and a 6-bottle tote bag to carry your purchases.
