Benton County offers trail runs, bike races, marathons and more

Attention trail runners, marathoners, 5Kers, 10Kers and bike racers! The Corvallis, Oregon area is home to several fun competitive runs and races, from our Corvallis Half Marathon to the Mudslinger, and more. Run or ride through the beauty of our natural areas and Corvallis proper in the races below.

1. Alsea Falls Spring Fling Trail Run
March 23, 2019: The Alsea Falls Spring Fling offers a course that is a mix of trails and gravel roads to allow you to find your place among the ferns and forest canopy. Choose from a 5K, 10K or half marathon distance. Enjoy BBQ after the race!
2. 32nd Mudslinger Mountain Bike Race
32nd Mudslinger Mountain Bike Race in Blodgett, Oregon
April 6, 2019: Thirty-two years and counting for this Pacific Northwest original featuring an 11-mile course and an 18-mile course on private Starker Forests land. This event is for anyone 10 to 75 and features 300 riders or more for some logging road climbs and fun and slippery trails on the downhill. Bring a smile and your mountain bike and join the Mudslinger!
3. Corvallis Half Marathon
Corvallis Half-Marathon & 5K
April 13-14, 2019: This scenic, 13.1 mile 'Tour de Corvallis' is mostly flat with two slow gradual climbs, and two gradual descents. The entire course is on paved roads, sidewalk and bike paths. The 5k is one of the flattest around. You can expect a PR on this course!
4. Marys Peak Trail Run
Marys Peak Trail Run in Blodgett, Oregon
June 22, 2019: Mary’s Peak Sits at 4,097 feet above sea level, making it the highest point in the Oregon Coast Range and beautiful in both stature and trail, with roots and some steeper pitches to challenge the most veteran runner for the 50K and 50M.
5. 41st Fall Festival Run
HOTV Runners' Annual Fall Festival Run in Corvallis, Oregon
September 29, 2019: This is the 41st running of this landmark running event for the mid-valley, an old-school 5K and 10K through OSU’s campus. This affordable, family-friendly event presents a welcoming and fun atmosphere for all who want to participate.
6. Hell of the Northwest Trail Run
October 12, 2019: Join the Hell of the Northwest Trail Run, a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K at the Alsea Falls Recreation Area. Enjoy BBQ after the race!
