Safely Celebrate New Year's Eve in Corvallis With These Ideas

You can usually count on Corvallis to throw a big party on New Year's Eve, but unfortunately, that's not possible this year. Instead, try celebrating the new year with these ideas.

1. Spend the night in a local hotel.

One idea that's popular this year is to book a hotel room and spend New Year's Eve enjoying the amenities. Watch movies, enjoy takeout, and - best of all - take advantage of access to the pool! This one is especially good for families. The Corvallis Comfort Suites, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Holiday Inn Express, and the Courtyard by Marriott all have indoor pools.

2. Celebrate with locally-produced Oregon wine, craft beer, or spirits.

Corvallis is home to several wineries, breweries, and distilleries, which makes toasting the new year at midnight pretty easy. Plus, you get to support local makers and producers at the same time! Most of Benton County's wineries, breweries, and distilleries are currently offering options for delivery, takeout, and/or curbside pickup.

3. Treat yourself to a favorite takeout dinner.

Many of our local restaurants will be open and offering takeout on New Year's Eve. Pick up a favorite family meal for everyone to enjoy, or try out something new in honor of the new year. Don't forget: Oregon just approved cocktails to go, too. Check and see if you can get a little holiday cheer with your dinner when you order.

4. Plan a family game night.
