Great video by Philomath High student showcases Witham Hill Natural Area

Marci Sischo | 10/12/2018 | Biking, Hiking, Nature Walks/Trails, Outdoor Recreation

Witham Hill Natural Area is a lovely little patch of urban greenspace filled with Oregon white oaks and Douglas and grand firs and boasting a loop trail just under a mile long. It makes for a peaceful, beautiful setting for a quick hike or nature walk. It's a dog-friendly space (on leash), and a nice spot for a bit wildlife watching. The path is asphalt and leads you through native and invasive wilderness, offering views of Marys Peak along the way.

You can enter Witham Hill at a small parking lot located on Circle Blvd., just a little ways west past NW Witham Hill Drive.

Caleb Shaw, a student at Philomath High School, recently made a great video for his Broadcast Media class, showcasing the Witham Hill Natural Area. He says he made the video "because I love the Witham Hill Natural Area, just all of the trees and green and being out in nature. The outdoors really pumps me up and makes me happy."
