January in Corvallis means live music, theatre, and art, but we're also looking forward to the return of the Corvallis Indoor Winter Market. The Winter Market is our annual winter farmers market, and it's one of the oldest indoor markets in western Oregon.

1. Corvallis Indoor Winter Market

Corvallis Indoor Winter Market is one of western Oregon’s oldest weekly indoor winter markets. The market offers a broad variety of fine quality crafted items from artist drawings to handcrafted jewelry. The food selections are also outstanding! From organically grown vegetables and fruits to artisan baked breads, this weekly market offers a broad selection.

2. OSU Wind Ensemble: Oregon Music Education Association Sendoff Concert

The Oregon State University Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Erik Leung, has been invited to perform at the Oregon Music Educators Association annual conference in Eugene, Oregon in January. As a celebration and in order to get ready for that performance, the ensemble will share the program they have prepared for this upcoming, honored performance.

An Oregon State University tradition, the 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace March provides an opportunity to join in solidarity with community members and reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of creating transformative change through non-violence.

6. 2022 Starker Lecture Series

“Women of Forestry: inspiring leadership” focuses on women who act as agents of change within the forestry and forest products sector as well as within their communities. This year's Starker Lecture Series kicks off with a keynote speech by Robin Wall Kimmerer: "Women as change agents in forestry."

7. Corvallis-OSU Symphony: OSU Student Soloists Shine
