The Benton County Historical Society will partially reopen the Philomath Museum to six visitors at a time beginning on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 10 a.m. If the museum is at capacity when you arrive, you may have to wait.
Philomath Museum hours will be Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free. Current exhibitions are "Black in Oregon: 1840-1870" and the "No Shrinking Violets" quilt exhibition. The closing date for "Black in Oregon" has been extended to April 17. "No Shrinking Violets" has been extended until April 10. The Philomath Museum is located at 1101 Main Street, in Philomath (map).
The Benton County Historical Society will partially open the Corvallis Museum to six visitors at a time beginning on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. Corvallis Museum is located at 411 SW 2nd Street, in Corvallis (map).
The Corvallis Museum hours will be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Visitors will be able to make a reservation for a one hour visit online. Admission is $5 for adults, free for BCHS members, free for youth 18 and under and free for OSU and LBCC students (must show id). Current exhibitions include "Benton County," "A College Town," "Hats & Chairs," and more.
The Benton County Historical Society cannot take your reservation by voicemail or accept groups over 6 people. Visitors will be given additional health requirement instructions when online reservations are made for Corvallis Museum visits. The Oregon Health Authority currently limits customer capacity to a maximum of six (6) people total (not including employees) in shared indoor entertainment spaces and requires a minimum six (6) feet physical distancing between households.
