Come see inside the historic 1855 Fiechter House at William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge!
That beautiful old house along Finley Refuge Rd. usually has its doors locked, but not this summer. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can stop by the Fiechter House, take a tour and walk through history. An experienced interpreter will be there to greet you and share some incredible stories about the house and the families that lived there. Did you know 13 kids were raised in the house? And that one of them wrote their name in a window pane that is still visible today? Do you think there is more to the story of what happened to Mr. Fiechter?
Make a Saturday of it and come visit the Refuge!
