Winter Wildlife Field Day

Join the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge for the 6th Annual Winter Wildlife Field Day!

This is a popular bilingual community event and educational experience focused on wildlife, conservation and outdoor fun. It's free, kid-focused, family friendly, and everyone is welcome.

Get your passport book and explore 14 different stations to learn more about this year's theme: "Water: the life in wildlife." Collect your passport stamps from each station and then earn a Wildlife Explorer Patch at the end. Activities will include a newt obstacle course, an osprey fishing activity, the Library Bookmobile, nature walks, an art take-home activity, owl pellet dissection, a toddler area, a pond study, fish specimens, and much more! There will be bilingual volunteers at each station.

There'll be free bus trips from Lincoln and Garfield Elementary Schools. This event is made possible by 16 amazing community partners.
