Da Vinci Days STEAM Lecture

The Da Vinci Days STEAM Lectures are back! These lectures happen every Tuesday in May, from 6pm to 8pm, and are free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

  • Science: Tuesday, May 1, at Courtyard Corvallis by Marriott: Warren Coffeen, Ph.D., Faculty, Biological Science, Linn-Benton Community College, will discuss CRISPR gene editing.
  • Technology: Tuesday, May 8, at Courtyard Corvallis by Marriott: A.J. Fillo, M.S. will lecture on "Why We Still Use Fossil Fuels in Transportation and What We Still Have to Learn."
  • Engineering: Tuesday, May 15, at Courtyard Corvallis by Marriott: Dr. Heather Knight, OSU Robotics and Computer Science Professor, will host the Robot Film Festival, a 50-minute selection of short films from past Robot Film Festivals.
  • Arts: Tuesday, May 22, at The Arts Center: Renee Lynn McKitterick, Art Faculty and Department Chair, LBCC, will discuss the beauty and wonder of Porcelain as a material and artistic vehicle.
  • Mathematics: Tuesday, May 29, at Courtyard Corvallis by Marriott: Sarah Hagen, PhD Candidate at Oregon State University, will talk about ancient Greek astronomy.
