Nearly sixty years ago, the region’s rich history of winemaking began. Since then, the Lower Long Tom AVA was first recognized in 2021, and is adorned with vineyards that thrive in the climate. The AVA was the twenty-second to join Oregon, and the tenth in the Willamette Valley. Lumos Wine Company Valcan Cellars Springhill Cellars Winery Hear from the winemakers themselves about the region’s favorable grape-growing conditions and climate, and how they create the pinot noirs the area is known for, as well as chardonnays, pinot gris, rieslings and more. Most of the wineries are family-owned, and the makers are committed to producing high-quality wines by using sustainable practices which aim to keep the Willamette Valley a fertile winemaking region for decades to come. Take a sip tour through the different wine varieties in the Willamette Valley, enjoy the golden scenery of the Oregon countryside and make a toast to Corvallis wine country.
