Corvallis Gardens

Avery Park: Enjoy rhododendrons, wildflowers and rose garden in this 75-acre wooded park. 15th St., and Avery Ave. (541) 757-6918.

Greengable Gardens, a six acre historic collector's garden dating from the 1930. Enjoy waterfalls, lily ponds, gazebos, daffodils and tulip fields or tour the commercial cut-flower farm in the winter and spring. Located 10 minutes from Corvallis it is open daily 10am to 6pm. Riverfront Park:  An art park along the meandering Willamette River right in downtown Corvallis. Although not a formal garden this park boast fountains and art and is adjoined by wonderful restaurants many with outdoor seating.

The Thyme Garden (Alsea): This English-style display garden beckons you to take a stroll. Learn more about herbs and their uses at this special garden. 20546 Alsea Hwy, Alsea OR. (541) 487-8671

Albany

Master Gardener's Garden Tour: Bring your sketchpad as you tour the garden of the masters. View the labors of love bestowed on these beautiful gardens by their owners and creators. Rose Garden: Take time to smell the roses in the garden at Eleanor-Hackleman Park. These roses are beautifully maintained by the Albany Rose Society. Victorian Garden & Gazebo: Nestled between two of the four nationally registered historic districts in Albany, this garden features heirloom plants and roses commonly grown before the 19th century.
