The Corvallis Rose Garden at Avery Park displays 1200 bushes, with 250 varieties represented. June is the most dramatic month, but most varieties bloom from May through October. Avery Park and the rose garden are open during daylight hours, and admission is free. Lovers of flowers and gardens will consider the rose garden to be one of the high points of a visit to Corvallis. The Rose Garden is rented in 4-hour time blocks.

Benton County Courthouse was completed in 1888. This four-story building is the oldest Oregon courthouse still used for its original purpose. Topped by a clock tower housing both a bell and a carillon, the courthouse is visible for miles.

Located 16 miles west of Corvallis. Marys Peak, at 4,097 feet, is the highest point in Oregon’s Coast Range and the most prominent peak to the west of Corvallis.

On a clear day, from the top of the peak, you can see both the Pacific Ocean to the west and many of the Cascade peaks to the east across the Willamette Valley. When there's snow, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and other non-motorized winter recreation are available beyond the gate at Conner's Camp. A recreation pass is required to park in the Conner’s Camp parking area. Beautiful views in the fall!
