Spirit of Corvallis book Concept The concept of the Spirit of Corvallis is to capture the essence of a community at one moment in time. This can be done with humor, with buildings and vistas or with people or all. We suggest that the human element is important. The book will be printed on high gloss paper in horizontal format with many pages being given over solely to the photograph. We need to explore the spirit of Corvallis and why this City is so special at this moment in time. Some of the many questions we need to answer are: 1: Why is Corvallis ranked as one of America's top 25 family friendly cities? 2: Why does Men's Journal Magazine rate Corvallis 8th best place in the nation to live? 3: Why does Cities Ranked and Rated, rate Corvallis 14th best place in the nation to live? 4: Why did Harvard review place Corvallis 15th in the nation for creativity? 5: Why did USA Today state that more patents are issued from Corvallis than any other city of its size? 6: How do our minority communities feel about Corvallis? 7: How do our Festivals and Events define our spirit 8: Why is Corvallis the only city on the West Coast to receive the EPA's Green Power Community award?
