Corvallis Tourism and Donning Publishers are producing a beautiful gift book to celebrate the 150th birthday of Corvallis. To be published in early 2008. The 40 page glossy book will be titled "The Spirit of Corvallis" The essence of the book is to define and celebrate Corvallis as a community in the year 2007 as the City turns 150 years old. It is a snapshot in time. It is a snapshot that never may come again and it is important to capture it in photographs and words. Click here to find out more about the assignment. The book will be horizontal in format and so your photo submissions should be likewise. However, we will consider good vertical submissions as well. While the majority of the book will be color we will consider black and white. Photo Submission Guidelines: 1: Digital photographs should be submitted as a TIFF file. 2: Digital photographs may be submitted either on a CD or uploaded to http://corvis00.phanfare.com . Please use the folder titled "Spirit of Corvallis". CDs should either be mailed or hand delivered to Corvallis Tourism 553 NW Harrison Blvd, Corvallis. No emails please. 3: All digital photographs should contain a short description of the subject and a title which must be your last name and a sequential number i.e. Jones3 would be the third picture submitted by Mr. Jones. 4: All photographs digital or print must have the photograph submission form filled out. If you are mailing or bringing in your photographs by hand please print out a copy of the photo submission form with it. 5: Printed photos or slides must be originals and will be returned after the book is published Printed photos must be scanned as large as they might appear in the book at 300 dpi or ppi. 6: Printed photos or slides should have your last name and sequential number (Jones3) either on the back or on the slide frame.
